Balochistan is the major producer of dates in Pakistan as it produces 45% of the total production. Sindh stands at the second place with 43% share, followed by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) with 2% and Punjab with 1%..

It is one of the most important and widely cultivated fruit crops in the balochistan , with a history of cultivation dating back thousands of years. The date palm is a tall, single-stemmed tree with a crown of large, feather-like leaves..

The Horticultural Society of Balochistan is a non-profit making organization which was founded Quetta Balochistan in 2023. The Society aims to promote the science and practice of horticulture in Balochistan.

We are thrilled to announce that the Horticulture Society of Balochistan is offering a unique, life-changing opportunity for students across the province. We are officially opening applications for 100 fully funded scholarship seats in our upcoming specialized agricultural training programs. This initiative is designed to equip the youth of Balochistan with practical, modern skills in the agricultural sector, fostering sustainable development and professional growth. 

 Program Details Duration:The total duration for each of these specialized programs is six months.
Programs Offered:Mushroom Culture Landscape Horticulture
Nursery Management
Agriculture E-commerce
 Training Format To make learning accessible, we have designed a hybrid model: 
In-Person Training: Classes for Mushroom Culture and Nursery Management will be conducted physically in Panjgur.  
Online Training: Classes for Landscape Horticulture and Agriculture E-commerce will be conducted via online learning platforms to ensure students can participate from anywhere. 
 Who Should Apply? 
This scholarship is designed for dedicated students looking to excel in the field of agriculture.
 To be eligible:  Applicants musthave completed their FSc in Pre-Medical or hold an educational background in Agriculture. 
 The scholarship will be granted only to qualified candidates after a rigorous selection process, which includes an application review, a written test, and a personal interview.
